Overall Rating: 11/18/2022Got here about 30 minutes before check in and the room wasn't ready. We understand the time is the time. We let the desk know we had reservations we needed to prepare for so the lady said they would notify us immediately when it was ready. We left to kill some time and pick up a few items. 2 hours after the supposed check in time and 2.5 hiurs since we had arrived, still no call or text. Went back because we had a dinner reservation we needy to get ready for. The room had been ready but no one cared to notify us. So we were almost late for dinner. Took the elevator up and got off. The hallway smelled so bad with mold or something I about threw up. There was some white powder on the base board and carpet down the hall about 30 feet. Sped past the smell to the room. Room itself was very nice and clean with no smell. Bed was fantastic. However, it was very noisy at 2 to 3 am as a bunch of drunks came stumbling in from a night out with the boys. One flopped against our the door and the other 4 or 5 just kept drunk yelling at each other. The noise was done after about 5 to 10 minutes so I didn't call security. This would have been a fantastic place if it weren't for the smell. It's very nice in the lobby. The waterway view as great but I would have asked for my money back or moved due to the smell if we weren't crunched for time and only there one night to celebrate the wife's birthday with my kid who goes to Coastal Carolina. I probably won't be back.

Overall Rating: 10/1/2022My stay at the Marina Inn was perfect. You get the perfect view of the marina and pool. The room was clean (it takes a lot for me to say a room was clean). I felt completely safe and comfortable in my room and all other areas of the hotel. The amenities were perfect. The bar had great hours. The staff was completely friendly. A special thanks to those that did valet parking, I made sure to tip them well. I recommend this stay if you are looking for a more peaceful time at Myrtle beach, away from the strip (while it is easily accessible to the strip)

Overall Rating: 9/1/2022This resort is absolutely the place you want to stay at when visiting myrtle beach. It is well appointed, smells amazing and the service is excellent! I called prior to arrival and asked questions and they were all answered and we were assured a great stay, and our visit was exactly that, fantastic couple of days. From the helpful front desk team, to Scott the gentleman who helped us to our room with all of our luggage, to Michael the friendly shuttle driver, everyone has been WONDERFUL and WELCOMING! If you expect to stay in a beautiful hotel, this is it. Comfy, clean beds, clean well maintained and stocked washrooms, in room coffee service and a balcony. Beautiful pools and saunas. Don't hesitate to book your stay.

Overall Rating: 8/25/2022A month.. a month in advance I made a reservation for a TWO BEDROOM with a walk in shower. I'm a paraplegic. I'm disabled. For a month I kept in touch with this place making sure the shower would work.
I was given A BATH TUB!!
They are very clearly AGAINST the disabled and not obeying the Federal ADA law.

After our stay, we had an issue resolved quickly by working with Alan. Alan listened to our concerns and went above and beyond to help us. He is the reason we would stay here again. Great customer service and he deserves recognition for his assistance to customers. (He’s the reason we’re giving 5 stars).

Overall Rating: 8/17/2022This is the second time staying at this hotel. The staff is fabulous- kind, friendly, gracious. I was very happy the first time I stayed here. This time, the room is run down, the sealant on the shower is loose or off and water gets all over the floor, there’s no cold water in the sink- just hot and warm- and NO housekeeping! I think this place has gone way down hill. You may want to consider staying somewhere else.

Overall Rating: 7/26/2022Marina Inn is a luxurious getaway. The furnishings, the bedding, the views are top-notch! As far as amenities they have a top-notch restaurant, an indoor and outdoor pool, and a private beach that you can be shuttled to. Valet parking is apart of your amenities package.
It's great for a honeymoon or couples getaways and equally as appropriate for family vacations. They need to replace some of the carpets. My last stay, there were gigantic stains in the living-dining room areas. It took away from the feeling of luxury you pay for.

Overall Rating: 7/26/2022My family and I have stayed at the Marina some 12 times since 2009. I love the location, the beach and the employees are always welcoming. The issue I have at this point is the facility itself. I payed some $1500 more this year than last for a day less stay. That being said I am aware everything has gone up astronomically. However, at this point the Marina is in desperate need of repairs to justify the rates. I stayed in a One bedroom full kitchen. The Bathroom over the tub is where the air conditioner was and clearly had been leaking for some time. The black mold over the area was disturbing. I did not make it known to anyone to their defense but it was clearly visible. I posted a photo of the mold. The shower doors need re corking as leak terribly. The kitchen was devoid of any usable knives and what was there was useless. There was supposed to be room service every 3 days. I inquired on day 5 and finally did get my room cleaned. We stayed 9 days, room was cleaned once.
We did get towels each time we called.
The beach: The beach chairs are also in desperate need of replacement. They have been well used. The main feature of this resort is the ability to go to the beach and the chairs and umbrellas are present and ready. I didn't appreciate how many of the guests from the resort next door were constantly at the Marina site but that is difficult to prevent I imagine. I know they have to pay for the chairs separately there. However, I did not appreciate one instance where my daughter and I had to move as we were literally surrounded by a family reunion of no less than 25 visitors from the resort next door. Lovely people but was a bit much.
I hope to continue my visits to Myrtle and especially to the Marina as we as a family have many fond memories. I enjoy now taking my children with their spouses as our family grows. I hope that the facility is just kept up, it was beautiful once.

Update: This time, it would've been easier to build a cabin in the parking lot than check in. Still pleasant staff, but hours after checking in... Still waiting on a room. At $500 a night you think they'd have game. As it is, our dinner reservations will be ready before our hotel and we'll have to change in a public bathroom for dinner. This is silly.

Overall Rating: 7/5/2022Friendly staff, nice room at a really good price. We got a king suite at an amazing price. Spacious, jacuzzi tub, YUGE balcony, fireplace and a kitchenette. Our first night had Korean tacos and shrimp basket and it was really good. Now the bad. There was water outside our door from the rain. I called once and then I went to the front to complain about the growing pond outside our door. I understand it was raining on and off however someone could have come by at least once to vac some of the water. Instead the pond turned into a lake by morning. Aside from that it a was wonderful stay with a great water side view. Also free Level 2 Tesla Destination Charger.

Overall Rating: 6/29/2022Remember to use H?????o???.??m when booking your room. They compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you choose this place you won't be let down.
Everything to be honest! It was clean, up to date, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle to the private beach was awesome, along with having chairs and an umbrella at hand.

The room we stayed in was large, clean, and had a wonderful balcony view. Bed and linens are comfortable. Hotel pool is tidy and they provide towels. We will be staying here again next time we are back in the area. Highly recommend. Booked with AAA travel services as a 4 diamond hotel.

Overall Rating: 6/7/2022The resort exceeded my expectations and I will almost certainly stay again. This was my first time in South Carolina, and my experience here made me great appreciate the people and attractions here. The private beach shuttle came every 15 mins to the hotel and the driver was very helpful with restaurant suggestions in the area. When I walked in the first time I was taken back at how great the hotel was set up and how nice it was. My room was spacious with a comfortable bed. I would only say that at the hotel restaurant there is a resort fee on drinks so be wary of that. Aside from the hidden fee at the bar, this was a great experience and I would highly recommend Marina Inn to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach.

Overall Rating: 6/6/2022We had reservation for 2 bed suite for 3 night stay. While the rooms were spacious, they definitely need maintenance on lot of things. Room had odd smell when we walked in. Bed rooms doors were stuck and didn’t close all the way easily or open. When Called for maintenance no body showed up, called twice still no show. Restroom flush tank kept making refilling noise seems like there was leak and was disturbing all night. Indoor pool had spider webs and spiders in the pool. Broken sauna room. Over all not a great experience. For 4-star hotel and the prices charged. I think they need to do better maintenance. We had to Check out early for these inconvenience.
One thing positive is, food was great and the staff serving the food at the pool and pool staff were friendly. I would have chosen different option if known.

The multi bedroom suites are especially nice if you want separate bedrooms.
Outdoor pool is warm and large.
It’s not beach front, but there is a shuttle that takes you to a private beach so that’s good enough.
I am however docking a star for the anti-motorcycle policies. They put a sign up now allowing riders to go up near the entry doors on bikes. Do they expect us to carry our bags in from the parking lot? That’s the last thing any rider wants to do after a long hot exhausting day.

The staff was exceptional!!!We didn't know what to expect, but this was far beyond our expectations. The location is convient to shopping, eating and even a hospital. We will definitely be returning. Overall Rating: 4/21/2022Best hotel in MB. We've stayed in many along the ocean strip. Every time we do we are thoroughly disappointed. They are trashy and gross. This time I decided to go on reviews and saw the Marina Grand Inn. It definitely has to be the best hotel in all of MB. The outside, inside and rooms are all so well kept, clean and absolutely beautiful. The view of the harbor is gorgeous. The rooms are immaculate just like the rest of the hotel. The pool was heated and clean. I checked all around town for a suite with two rooms and this hotel had one of the most affordable and who knew it would end up being one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Great place. Many restaurants on location as well. Thanks for a great stay!

My two close friends, wanted the 3 of us to take a girls trip to Myrtle Beach South Carolina.
This trip was so amazing, we split the cost of avis rental car three ways.
And we split the cost of gas and food, three ways as well.
We was able to stay at this beautiful hotel on a private beach, because we split the hotel room cost three ways.
Girl's Road Trip, To Myrtle beach will be something that my friends and I will plan once a year.
Marina Inn at Grande Dunes has Two hot tubs to view the majestic view of the marina.
My friends and I spent alot of time in the indoor heated pool, fitness center, sauna and on the beach.

This hotels responds to tips. The rooms are expensive when you consider you don't get any service. The chef and those that work in the kitchen are amazing. Front of the house should receive additional training. Especially Allison.

Overall Rating: 2/28/2022Really nice atmosphere! Marina view is great! Definitely one of the nicest hotels in Myrtle and it is close to everything. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The service is amazing also! The downside is that the rooms need a bit of updating: peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, a shower that leaks out onto the floor, small things like that prevent the 5 star review. All that being said, I would highly recommend this hotel and would be happy to be a guest there again.

Overall Rating: 1/2/2022Nice "inn"/hotel. Room (king) was spacious with big TV, a small fridge, microwave and safe. The bathroom was large, but left much to be desired. Stand up shower was small with a large rainfall shower head that you couldn't get out of the way of. Hit my elbows while washing, and I'm an athletic 170lb. The tub size looked like something u would get in a basic mobile home (better material tho). Check in was at 4, but our room wasn't ready till almost 7, and they tried to put us in a 2 queen room. In my opinion it is overpriced during the summer months. Location is great if the beach isn't your priority. Easy in and out and less than 10min to North or myrtle beaches. Very nice marina.

Overall Rating: 12/11/2021We arrived off season without a reservation and were able to negotiate the price of the room down to a rate comparable to offered deals on line.
Check in staff was initially a little chilly but warmed up and was helpful.
Bellman was pleasant and helpful as well.
The property looks elegant, but furniture in the room showed a lot of wear, the shower leaked (a lot).
Very nice place for the low price we paid, but wouldn't pay a premium for it in season.

Overall Rating: 12/9/2021Stayed here for a third time on a family vacation over Thanksgiving. I definitely suggest the suites. The hotel is clean and updated, with great amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was sad that our stay no longer included breakfast, as the restaurant on site has amazing food (though not cheap). If you are looking to be right on the beach and walkable to things, this wouldn't be a good choice. However, staying with 2 kids(including a teen daughter), I love that it feels safe and kind of tucked away. This is definitely a place I'll return to!

Should you be there for a conference or convention, I did find the banquet services folks friendly and helpful. They seemed to get enhancing the customer experience.
Our shower door didn't align with the shower frame so there was enough water on the floor after our showers to do a real good mopping. Also not good for our towel supply.
It was an extremely average experience.
It does share a parking lot with Ruth's Chris so that a convenient option for a nice dinner.

Overall Rating: 10/4/2021SHOUT OUT TO THE BELL HOP/VALET CREW: They were so phenomenal with getting our bags upstairs and pulling the cars up and giving good suggestions of places to go. I know from my friends who have done that work that they work for tips. If you use their services PLEASE tip them. They deserve it.
This place was amazing. The room was extremely comfortable, the staff was accommodating to literally everything we requested. We got recommendations of where to go locally. The room was nice and cool from the get go. The saltwater pools were nice and warm as was the hot tub. The business center actually came in handy for work. The breakfast restaurant served good food and the bar on the main level made delicious drinks.

She was professional and friendly! The resort was peaceful and quiet. Our room was clean and beautiful. I've seen this place but never wanted to stay only because it wasn't oceanfront. This is my new spot to stay from now on.

I was absolutely surprised since room is priced over $ 400 per night. I expect to pay that ticket and get luxury seeing it's a resort. Expected some type of continental breakfast or all inclusive package deal but did not appear to be available. View of Marina was great! Although room had king bed mattress it was not comfy. Lots of amenities open and available on property- even had pleasure of visiting Ruth Chris for first time. Staff very pleasant- customer service skills??...

Overall Rating: 8/13/2021The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes has everything you'd expect from a 4-star resort during the Covid era. It's pretty nice inside and out, the pool is pleasantly cool compared to the outside temperature, there are plenty of chairs and shade to go around offered by the palm trees and umbrellas not to mention the pool-side bar that offers food and refreshments to quench your thirst though it is a bit pricey. One thing I've noticed here is that it seems very quiet. Yeah there are families, kids, and singles but everyone just seems calm. There isn't much screaming, yelling or crying. It really does seem like paradise.
The beach is a 10min shuttle away or 45 min walk if you're feeling adventurous. Umbrellas and chairs are provided by the hotel as is the aforementioned shuttle. The chairs are a bit rundown but comfortable nonetheless. Any activities you wish to attend are also relatively close to the hotel. Pirates voyage, which is a great family, activity is just across the road.
The rooms have great views of the pool or marina and are clean and comfortable. The staff is courteous and quick to bring whatever you need up to the room. I know everyone loves towels and believe me there is an ample supply here at the hotel *the yellow ones are the best*
All in all it's a great place to stay if you're visiting Myrtle Beach though there are less expensive options of the same or similar quality. I would stay here again given the opportunity.

Overall Rating: 7/29/2021The hotel is beautiful. The staff in the kitchen went above and beyond for my family everyday we were there. The valet parking staff was also top notch. However LUCY, at the front desk made my experience totally appalling. She is the night shift front desk clerk and perhaps the most unprofessional and rude person I have EVER met in the service industry. I had THREE nights of interactions with her and all three were horrendous examples of poor customer service. Argued with me about weather or not I already received clean towels.... (which I had not in two days been given clean towels) and she claimed housekeeping already gave them to us. Later house keeping admitted they got our room confused with another one. She was Rude as all get out when I went to purchase a small bottle of wine because the cooler hadn’t been locked prior to me getting there. As though that was somehow my fault. And today she tried to short change me a dollar. When I asked why she was giving me one dollar instead of 2 when the bill for kids ice cream was 18.00 and I gave her a 20, she said because it was 18.01 and that would mean she would have to give me .99 back.... yeah? Ok? I had to bring her back a penny after walking all the way back to my room to get ONE CENT. ( I obviously do not care about a dollar... but correct change is correct change. And she didn’t say anything just handed me a dollar as though I should sacrifice my .99 to save her one cent???)
I asked to speak to manager there wasn’t one there. When I said I wanted to air my grievances about her lack of customer service she cut me off and demanded I not SPEAK to her about customer service. She called ME RUDE- and told me that the hotel guests need to be more understanding and not rude when I told her she should not be in Customer service.
She continued to cut me off and over talk me- while I remained calm and tried to make a complaint with her co worker on her behalf. If she still works here we will never be back. As much as I liked this place and the valet staff was amazing- she has made sure we will never be repeat customers if she is still on staff.

I understand most places are understaffed at the moment but there's no excuse. I would contemplate visiting again. No late checkouts available, had to pay $500 for and extra 2hrs, needed a little more time before driving due to getting sick from the breakfast. No sympathy from the facility

Overall Rating: 6/9/2021This is a complaint of service. First, I would like to say beautiful property. However, I have yet to see the entire property due to my unpleasant check in. I reserved on May 17, 2021. I drove nearly 8 hours to get to this property. I was told at check in I had no room. I showed my confirmation email and itinerary number. Next, I was told to wait for the manager to get in to help. Again, I drove nearly 8 hours and had to wait more than a hour to be helped by Ms. Connie (manager). After waiting for over an hour now my reservation can be found for 1 night not the 4 nights I reserved. I originally was told that third party reservations are sent to hotel and reservation agent places it in the system. Now 1 night apparently appeared after an hour of waiting not 4 nights. Therefore someone placed me in the system incorrectly or my reservation was overlooked. I did not get an admittance of fault by staff. The resolution I received was not to my liking and quite frustrating. I eventually was checked in for only 1 night and was told I needed to check out by 11 am and have to check in again to be switched rooms for the remainder of my stay. I have a husband on home hemodialysis and a daughter who have virtual learning. Being displaced for hours until another room is available is an inconvenience. For the price of the property a night I expected better treatment and experience. It has been a frustrating ordeal and has made me question if the color of my skin were different would I receive the same treatment. During the wait staff continued to check in guests and answered calls. I was not a priority and felt dismissed through out the wait. I have stayed at many properties for I am a traveling sports mom and have never been handled in such a manner.

Overall Rating: 8/2/2020I liked that this hotel was very clean, rooms were spacious, and there were a lot of amenities. However, I felt really uncomfortable during my stay due to staff members, front desk personnel and managers too be specific, being very prejudice. I noticed that in several encounters with these staff members that they did not treat me nor my family with the same respect and professional attitudes as they did some of the other (non-African American) guests. Upon arrival, my reservation was scheduled for a room with pool/marina view. Instead, I was given a room overlooking the grass courtyard. Most, if not all, of the guest on this side of the hotel were African American. Furthermore, the front desk person reluctantly changed the room after stating that they usually go by a “first come first served” basis so availability for a pool/marina view was limited. In addition to the staff members being a pain to communicate with, there were several non-African American guests that made my family and I feel uncomfortable by starring and clutching their bags. I spent my hard earned money to enjoy a vacation and did not expect nor deserved to be treated as such. I do not have a scary appearance nor did I mistreat/disrespect the property or the employees. I am very disappointed. If this isn’t enough of a problem for you, my car was also hit while parked in the parking lot on the grounds sitting directly in front of the hotel. I have a large dent on the front end of my car, and the person who hit it fled the scene prior to alerting anyone about the incident. There were no cameras on the grounds, according to the manager and front desk personnel. There was no investigation and the police gave me the run around when trying to file a report. Horrible way to spend a relaxing vacation!

We were complimentary upgraded to a 2 bedroom king suite with a waterway view. The food was delicious. Definitely an event for an older crowd.
The room was nice and it was a fun experience but I do wish they had a better bathtub in the room. It was a standard (very small) tub. A jacuzzi one would be a major plus!

Outstanding design and conditions in early November. Several memorable holes, though handy to play with someone who knows the course or who has played it before. A couple large groups with outings on the course but marshals kept pace of play moving. Friendly staff all around. Average clubhouse and amenities, which is just fine - nothing fancy needed.

Will spray suitcase before unpacking.

Two balconies with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I felt like I was home. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience. Shuttle to the beach as well. Every one we interacted with was very friendly and suggested things to do. We will be back with our family and friends soon. Oh, did I mention wonderfully kept grounds and pools. Our bathroom had both a standing shower and separate tube. The toiletries were from Tommy Bahama which smelled great. Great location close to dining and shopping. Would love to stay here for a couple of days. Great place for a family vacation. We order pizza from service it was decent. I think next time we try the restaurant on site. Great view and pool site.

Overall Rating: 7/28/2019Where do I start!! The staff from the door is AMAZING!! When we arrived our room was not ready. The young lady Charlotte was very helpful. She offered us another room, on a different floor.
As for our room, we had the Club Suite King room! The room was amazing, the views were breathtaking. Everything you need is here. Indoor/outdoor pools. Starbucks, Indoor/outdoor bars (poolside) ask for Jo she was amazing at making our drinks at the outdoor bar. Fitness room, was well equipped.
As I was checking out today, Chris(she has a Vermont accent) was very helpful, and knowledgeably about the resort.
I do recommend this resort to any and everyone!! I'm definitely coming back!!
I almost forgot, they have their own private beach.

There is a shuttle that takes you to and from the hotel's private beach. But only one bus and it's small so be prepared to wait if its crowded. Remember Uber is available. Umbrellas, towels and chairs provided. Hotel restaurants were good and comparable to others in the area. A nice pool and deck area. Recommend.

Overall Rating: 7/10/2019We enjoy staying at the Marina Inn every year with our family and friends. The rooms are huge, we usually end up getting a 2-3 bedroom villa to accommodate 2 families. These villas have full kitchens with everything needed to prepare a meal for the family and a large fridge to keep plenty of drinks stocked. And a 3 bedroom villa has 3 bathrooms, that makes life super easy! The pool and hot tub are very nice and you really can’t beat the sunset over looking the water. The Marina Inn truly is such a special place to us!

Like wet towels had been left on the carpet for a few days before we arrived.
Clean stains on the sheets, sheers has grease stains and hair on them.
Bathroom had not been cleaned, hair all over the floor, shower walls water potted. Spilled cover in the floor under the bench at coffee station. Even the light switches were filthy. This will be the second and last chance. Not to mention it was the only room-with
a40 ft tree blocking any hope of a view.
Let’s hope our next review makes me look like a nit-picker.with no reasons to be disappointed.

I reserved a room and tried to check in early (9:45am) and was told checkout was at 11am and they would have my room shortly. I checked back a few times as we were patiently waiting but by 3pm we were told our room may not be ready at 4pm but we could have a different room (down grade). We took it as we had been driving very early in the morning and had been sitting around waiting and exhausted.
The shower glass corners were falling apart was the only issue with the room).
Staff gets a great rating.
Property is nice, close to major attractions (5 to 15 minutes)

They had chocolate covered strawberries sent to our room 2 nights in a row with sparkling cider (we don't drink alcohol), very good! The suite was very nice and clean and spacious. The bathroom was nice. We had a jacuzzi tub! The bed was very comfortable. There was one day where our room didn't get cleaned when we were out all day. The front desk quickly had housekeeping take care of it so that was good. The pool area and hot tub was very nice. They had a nice seating area around the pool and there was a nice patio right outside the restaurant. We received vouchers to have breakfast for free which was nice but the food was just ok. Our honeymoon package also included a couple's massage. The massage therapists came to our room. We loved that! And our massage therapists Amanda and Jessica were GREAT!! I would definitely recommend getting a massage!

I absolutely love this hotel for its cleanliness and customer service. The only thing is I don't particularly care for the soft pillows and mattresses and prefer firm bedding. I appreciate the clean, private beach and how they include the lounge chairs. The beach was never crowded and just peaceful.

It is a bit of a bummer that they charge the resort fees for one night because in that period of time you can't really utilize the amenities. I like the option to self park versus valet although I got back from a wedding at one or two in the morning and there was no valet to be found and no self parking left so I had to park in the valet lot which I'm not sure I was allowed or supposed to do, so maybe check with front desk about the parking for those of you staying out really late. I had a king bed overlooking the intercoastal and it was very clean and comfortable and quiet. The ceiling fan on top of the AC was nice. They had everything you needed in the room although the Tommy Bahama products have a strong fragrance, so if you aren't into strong smells bring your own toiletries. If I were coming back to Myrtle Beach I would definitely stay here again.

The staff will help you with any request and even help you plan what to see in Myrtle Beach. The rooms are luxurious and very, very clean and spacious !!!!! The outdoor pool area is exquisite with a vanishing edge pool and two (2) wonderful whirlpool hot tubs !!!! The views from the Marina Tower (Tower 7) are great overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway. It is located within two minutes of The Carolina Opry and other attractions at the northern end of Myrtle Beach. My wife and I cannot recommend the Marina Inn at Grande Dune highly enough !!!! We will stay at the Marina Inn at Grand Dunes AGAIN and AGAIN !!!!! You will simply love staying at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes !!!!

The beds are high for those with mobility issues, so bring a stepping stool. Due to traveling with a handicapped individual I didn't get to go to the beach as often but when I did it was beautiful. The amenities of this hotel are to numerous to detail. Next time I will stay for at least a week or two.

Overall Rating: 3/18/2019I highly recommend this hotel. Where do I start the staff- cleanliness very comfortable beds- the rooms are very spacious especially the Suites. Three beds two full baths full kitchen. I could go on and on about this place, definitely recommend it.

Overall Rating: 2/27/2019Funny story, years ago me and my family was on our way to myrtle beach. We had picked this other hotel I forgot the name and it was horrible. We had to find another hotel quick because it was late at night. We were tired, hungry and all. We left that hotel and we eventually found this one. Once we got our rooms for this hotel, my mom was so tired to the point where she fell asleep in her regular clothes and not her pajamas. Best hotel and great service. Employees are amazing.

I would recommend this for couples or even families. They have a heated pool, large private jacuzzis. The staff is outstanding! and the valet parking is awesome! I would give more than 5 stars if it would let me!

Will always make sure I get room with kitchen. Gave us room to eat and drink more if we wanted. It's a great place to spend a weekend maybe a week in the future. Room is similar to a room I always get when in Vegas. House keeping people awesome and friendly. All of the right people in the right place in this establishment. Pleasure to be a patron at the marina inn????

Overall Rating: 11/26/2018The only reason this review isn’t 5 stars is the beds. If you are under the age of 60, 5 stars. If you are traveling with a senior adult, who is not as mobile as they used to be, the beds will be a problem. Even in the handicapped rooms the beds are, much, much too high. They are very comfortable, but it’s kind of ridiculous how high they are. Thankfully we upgraded to a suite and my 84 yo Mom was able to sleep on the couch. This ruined what would have otherwise been a great spot for vacation. When I inquired, management had nothing to offer but a shrug and a sorry.

Overall Rating: 11/23/2018This hotel spoke luxury hotel with the added touch of supreme hospitality. The hotel manager was polite and courteous. The hotel had an awesome workout room that had fresh cucumber ?? water waiting for the guest. My kids loved the large chess table. They loved the beach and pool ????? area. But I didn’t like the extra $45 dollars per day for the beach chairs - tacky. I thought the daily hotel price warranted the chairs. I loved the free WiFi and the room was large and very classy. I will be back at this hotel.

Overall Rating: 11/21/2018I always enjoy staying here for the location and proximity to the golf course. However, Marina Inn at GD is getting very long in the tooth and needs a facility make-over. Nevertheless, the staff always makes our stay fun and carefree. The hot tub/Jacuzzi is marvelous in the Fall -- our favorite time here.

Food was perfect, I personally enjoyed the salmon?? They shuttle you to the beach, which was very close by.... we will definitely return to the Marina Inn!

Clean and comfy rooms, some if the suites equipped with a fireplace and full kitchen. Great view of the waterway, and plenty of top rate amenities! Overall Rating: 9/7/2018My experience at the Marina was quite surprising. My first impressions upon arrival was pure excitement. The resort is beautiful, and the lobby is breathtaking. I arrived at 10AM. Check-in was not until 4PM, so we changed clothes, grabbed the shuttle, and headed to the beach.
The private beach is unlike any other in Myrtle Beach. The beach service provides clean towels for use at the beach. Additionally, they offer chairs and umbrellas. They also provide a snack and concession area that has drinks and light foods for purchase. There is a portable restroom facility that is air conditioned as well. The shuttle service was fantastic. The driver was professional, friendly, and accommodating.
At 1:30PM, I received the text message informing me that my room was ready. We stayed at the beach until 3PM, checked in, and headed to Barefoot Landing for the evening. At 5:30PM I received a call from the resort letting me know they made a mistake and checked me in to the wrong room. They apologized for the inconvenience and even offered to move all our luggage for us. This was minimal to no inconvenience because we hadn’t really unpacked yet, so we went ahead and just moved it ourselves.
The next day at the beach was great. The shuttle driver informed us on the way back that afternoon that this was the last day for the seasonal staff at the resort, however the bellhop would take us to the beach on the shuttle for the remainder of the trip. So the next morning, we headed down to the front of the resort and asked the bellhop to take us to the beach. With a look of confusion, he responded that the last day for beach service was yesterday. He informed us that he would not be taking anyone to the beach today. He informed us that we could drive ourselves to their beach access, however we could not park in the parking lot as it was reserved for the ocean club.
When we arrived at the beach, there were no chairs or umbrellas set up. This is the point at which it became a major inconvenience, because we did not travel with chairs or umbrellas. We drove back to the resort and went to the front desk to talk with the staff. The staff explained the dates for the chairs and umbrellas were posted on their website and that we should have checked that before staying with them. I informed the front desk that I did check their website, and I wanted to verify the availability, so I sent an email to the resort and received a written response from the resort advising that the shuttle, chairs, and umbrellas would be available for the specific dates that we were staying with them (email attached to this review). They responded saying they were not sure who sent me the email, but re assured that the chairs and umbrellas would not be available to us, regardless of what the email said. So at this point, we were overwhelmed with a sense of surprise and disappointment. At this time, it became very apparent to me that I was not going to be able to relax on the beach while staying at the Marina Inn, so informed them that I wanted to check out now (2 days early).
The Marina Inn did not ruin my trip to Myrtle Beach, however, I had my trip very organized and planned. After reviewing my master schedule, the issue of changing rooms cost us around 1 hour of shopping time. This really was not a big deal, so I consider it to have no bearing on the rating I’ve chosen. However the beach chair issue, resulting in us switching resorts, cost us 4 hours of beach time. Of my planned 22 hours of beach time, I spent 18 hours on the beach. I would normally consider a misunderstanding like this to be minor, however this misunderstanding cost us 18% of our beach time. If I had known up front that the beach service would not be available for the last two days of my trip, I wouldn’t have made the reservation. However, based on their email response, I trusted that the information they delivered was true and accurate.

Overall Rating: 8/13/2018Excellent condo / hotel. Accommodations cannot be beat in Myrtle Beach. Pool is excellent. Private beach is excellent. Small bus to the beach is really convenient. Gym is great. Full kitchen in our condo and washer dryer, which we made ample use of. We struggled with the maid service. I am not sure what was going on, but they cam around 9 am. If we didn't allow them to clean at that time, they never come back. After a day at the beach, we never had enough towels when we returned to the condo. We called for towels and no one showed up. Although one evening the night staff came at 9 pm to rectify and clean the condo. Definitely some issue with the day staff.
